I want to blow away my network connections and start over, where should I start. The reason last night we had a power failure and now I have another wireless connection added to my list, my old connection was renamed to a default but the old one is still there with the old name and I cannot connect to it.
I would like to start over but don't know where to begin. I also remember the problems with Hamachi and do not want to undo the fix for that.

Has anyone done this yet?

Go to the Dell support site and download the SATA drivers for your system. Apparently W

I must have done this because it's working now....problem is I can't remember doing it....I am getting old! I also moved it to a higher drive letter, so now it acts normal whether I boot with it attached or not, power up the drive and there it is and boy the eSATA is as fast as any internal drive I've had.

Another Win7 awesomeness....  Compatibility mode is waaaaaayyy better than Vista thought it could be. Crimson Skies even works!! Set it to Win98/ME compatibility and it runs great! There is some goofy video where text should be in certain drop down fields but it wouldn't even run in XP.

Go to the Dell support site and download the SATA drivers for your system. Apparently Win 7 CD does not have the custom (for Dell) Intel SATA driver.

Just to follow up on this, no matter what I do with this drive, if it is not plugged in when I boot it does not show up unless I go to manage and scan drives. Once I scan drives its there and works fine. It does not mater whether I let windows assign it a drive letter F or I choose H, whether it is set to "active" or not. This hardly bothers me but its just one of those little things that makes me wonder why its different from Vista. I use this drive exclusively for my photo work so its not like I am moving it around a lot but that's why its not on all the time and I know that a few clicks gets it to where I can use it.

Once you plug it in, and it does not appear, check My Computer->Manage and check the disk management there. If the drive letter of that drive matches one already taken it will not show up. This happens a lot if you have a pen drive as say E: on one system then you plug it into a system that already has a E:. From within Disk Management you can assign it a higher drive letter to avoid this.

Here's one thing I found I do not like about Win7, maybe there is a setting to change it but its not automatic. When I plug in or turn on my external hard drive it does not appear in My Computer, until I reboot. Now maybe there's a scan for changes but didn't really look for it, I shouldn't have to.

no, and it does not matter...it will run under 32bit emulation.

I loaded DOSbox and ran Renegade Legion: Interceptor (late 80's), sound was not as issue as it sounded as good/bad as any other game of the day.

Yeah, I was going to suggest DOSbox too.  I've used it before under XP and it works OK.  I did see two drawbacks using it though... the performance could be poor even on modern hardware and the sound emulation didn't always work correctly.

You should be able to use DOSbox emulator for windows. I have used it for 386-era games on Vista and worked fine.
