I am not saying MW2 is bad, far from it. I have played the sp-campaign, and logged quite a few hours of mp.
Short list of the games' strong-points, in my opinion, from top of my head.

MW2:
- Do not need a high-end computer.
- Small maps, which are good for vehicle-free deathmatches.
- You spawn basically in the lap of enemy, no time to travel to action.
- The reward-system! Even if you score 2/10 in kill/death-ratio, you get cheers because at least you spend "most time watching kill-cam". And when you finally kill the person who has shot you 5 times, you get a "Revenge!" with bells and whistles. This is almost the best part of MW2.
- Absolutely no need for team-play.

BBC2:
- Vehicles! All sorts of them.
- Large maps. You can actually manoevre. You can actually plan your approach. You are not swarmed with enemies when you spawn because map is small.
- You can affect the terrain, fell trees, destroy buildings.
- Team-play is promoted. Even if just means waiting for the next person to enter your tank/boat/helo/whatever, that extra person will help you (manning mg, keeping extra pair of eyes out for enemies, repairing your vehicle, etc).
- Dedicated servers!!!  Cheesy

Of course you can try to get team-play in MW2, but I think that only works well in organized squads.
Just as you can play as a loner in BBC2 without any problem.

lol if you insists. You can have your opinion.

BF series are only fun if you play with a group of people you know, because team play is a must. Therefore, when pubbing without your buddies, this game will irritate the crap out of you. So whats the fun in that? Its impossible that everytime you pub in BC2 that you will be pubbing with your friends, unless your world revolves around your friends, so the only time you play bc2 is when they play.

So playing with pubbers is worthless, because you will always come across someone who has to plant the bomb and instead they are in the spawn camping. Undecided

Not to mention knifing in this game which is a joke among with other things.

But anywayz, Im just excited that MW2 is coming out with a map pack in few weeks. Its going to be ph u n. Cheesy

Well, I played BBC2 mp for about one hour yesterday. Verdict is out.

You are right, BBC2 does not compete with MW2; BBC2 sort of takes MW2, bundles it up like a candy-wrapper, puts it back-pocket and then sits down and farts on it.  Grin

One does not have to rule out the other.  Smiley
If I compare MW2 with BBC2, I would say that single-player in the first seems a little more thought-through than in the other. The single-campaign in BBC2 is more parodic, sometimes makes fun of MW2, but action-wise it is at least on par with MW2. Maybe even better, since buildings etc can be destroyed.

I have played MW2 mp quite some, and only a few minutes with BBC2.
MW2-maps are (to me) too small. Too little room for tactical thinking, or actual team-play *. And - no vehicles! I do not count the bonus-helos etc. as "vehicles" per se, since they are only allowed for the players managing good kill-streaks.

What I have seen from mp in BBC2 is that all the good stuff from BF2 is there, has been expanded and improved.

* With team-play, I mean the team-play that is almost instinct in BF2, ie. you learn very fast that teaming up is good for you, and your team. In MW2, dm is more or less everyone for him/herself.

I can agree that it is annoying to have these connection-problems. But iirc when BF2 came, it was not flawless from the start, and now I would regard it as a classic among multiplayer-action-games.

Give it a few weeks or months. I have patience. And a new PC...  Grin

its typical for Dice and EA to have these problems.  It is a shame, it is a good squad game.  Requires teamwork.

Got this on PC. Of course it is laggy as h*ll with my P4 3,4 ghz, but *perhaps* playable.
Problem is, I (along with many others I have found out) get problems with Punkbuster. Trying to join a server, get kicked out after 5-10 seconds with a pb init failure message.
On the lobby-screen Dice has a message to update pb, but that does not help.
Grrrrr.
